Meet the Staff

Mark Matson

Pastor, Missions & Mobilization

Pastor Mark is a native of Sylacauga, Alabama (the home of Jim Nabors - Gomer Pyle). He began ministry at FBCPTC in 2014.

Mark is a graduate of The University of Alabama (1988) with a BA in Communications/ Broadcast Journalism, as well as New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (1994) with a Master of Divinity.

Mark is married to Angela (1991). They have five official and four unofficial children ranging in age from 3-37...Two biological in Alex-24 (married to Hannah) and Austin-21; Three adopted in Grace-11, Alyssa-5, and Logan-3.

Pastor Mark enjoys playing golf and tennis; spending time with his children, going to the beach, and hibernating whenever possible. His favorite movies are "Remember the Titans", "The Blindside", and "Radio". His favorite foods are Italian, pizza, burgers, and chocolate.

Lisa Stierwalt

Director of Bridge Ministries

Lisa joined the staff at First Baptist Church Peachtree City in November 2014 and is currently serving as the Director of Bridge Ministries.

Before joining the staff at FBCPTC, she spent more than a decade working in higher education serving as an administrator and in a variety of support services roles. In the midst of all that she also served her country as a Staff Sergeant in the US Marine Corps Reserves. Lisa received her Bachelor and Master degrees in Operations Management and Student Support Services from Northeastern State University. Following the Lord’s guidance she continued to pursue her academics and ministerial call with additional coursework in Religion through Liberty University.

Lisa married her high school sweetheart, Stephen and they have three children. Christian will be serving with Operation Mobilization as a missionary in Ireland and their two daughters, Analise and Kinsey are in high school.
